How the SVR514 Works
The SVR514 is a self-powered GPS tracking solution designed to keep vehicles and valuable assets protected without requiring a wired connection. Once activated and securely placed on the asset, the device uses GPS and cellular connectivity to determine and transmit its location.
1. GPS Location Detection
The SVR514 uses GPS technology to determine the asset's location. Its internal GPS and cellular antennas allow the device to collect accurate positioning information without requiring an external antenna.
2. Wireless Cellular Communication
After determining its location, the tracker communicates through LTE Cat-M cellular networks. Multi-carrier connectivity helps provide coverage across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.
3. Automatic Location Reporting
The device automatically reports GPS location information according to its configured reporting schedule. The SVR514 supports four automatic reports per day, along with a dedicated recovery mode when additional tracking is required.
4. Monitor Your Assets
Location and device information can be accessed through the SVR tracking platform, allowing authorized users to monitor and manage their assets remotely.
5. Recovery Support
If an asset is stolen or needs to be recovered, the device's dedicated recovery functionality can provide location information to support the recovery process. This makes the SVR514 suitable for stolen vehicle recovery, asset protection, payment assurance, compliance, and lot management.

The SVR514 is powered by a long-life internal battery and uses Smart Power technology to help maximize battery life. The device is designed to provide 5+ years of battery life depending on configuration, while its rugged IP67-rated enclosure helps protect it against dust and water intrusion.
